Move Through It ☕

To say I’m tired is an understatement. This time of year always hits differently. The lead-up to recital season, the sprint toward summer, and all the energy it takes to hold it together — physically, emotionally, creatively. I’m dancing and teaching (and genuinely loving it), but I’ve definitely hit that point where my body’s waving the white flag — sore, achy, and asking for a breather.

This isn’t a complaint — just a moment of realness. The long days, the late nights, the constant switching of hats — a lot of people don’t see that side of the dance world. But dancers know. And we move through it.

Lately, I’ve been in a bit of a transition career-wise too, which means early mornings, full evenings, and a whole lot of “just keep going.” But even with all that — I feel so grateful to do what I do. To move, teach, share, and grow alongside this beautiful community.

And in the middle of all this hustle, I finally did something for me — I updated my ballet wardrobe and got my bottom into ballet class — and it’s been so refreshing to be on the student side again. One of the most interesting things has been watching how other teachers approach their classes. It’s fascinating to see the variety of styles, cues, and pacing, and it’s given me a fresh perspective on teaching as a whole.

The funniest thing I’ve noticed being a student again is realizing that I don’t always practice what I preach. There’s a bit of irony in that! I still hear the voices of my old dance teachers echoing in the back of my mind — sometimes pushing me, sometimes critiquing — and I’m working hard to quiet those voices. But at the same time, I’m learning to be kinder to myself, choosing to move at my own pace and really absorb the experience from the other side of the barre.. And honestly? It’s been such a small but powerful reminder that the little things do matter. Feeling good in what you wear changes how you show up. It’s confidence, comfort, and a tiny spark of joy when you really need it.

Here’s to moving through the burnout, honouring what your body needs, and finding joy in the little things along the way.

We move through it — together.

Movement should make you feel more connected to yourself — not less.

Whether we're teaching a dancer, supporting an educator, creating a workshop, or building community, our work begins with the same question:

How can we help people feel seen, supported, and confident in where they are — while giving them the tools to discover where they can go?

WHEREVERCO. brings together movement, education, creativity, and community to create experiences that meet people where they are and help them move forward.
